Ever since United States presidents began using it in the 1950s, the teleprompter has been the open secret of the best speakers and speeches in history. Presidents, celebrities, corporate executives, lecturers in solemn events… all of them use it frequently.
The teleprompter allows natural reading while looking at the audience. The experience is excellent, compared with the impersonal exercise of reading a script on paper. The audience only sees two transparent mirrors.
However, the traditional teleprompter is full of drawbacks. It is very bulky and heavy and requires the assistance of helpers.
That all changed in 2014 when Prompter-in-a-box was invented, the result of over a year of research, design, testing and improvements. The device simplified what until then was cumbersome and made it easily accessible to what had been reserved for the elite.
